William Beaty and Frances Wallas of Bridekirk
« on: Monday 25 November 13 12:35 GMT (UK) »
Hi!
Can anyone help with any of the following?

I have a William Beaty (sometimes spelt as Battie, Baty, Beattie, Batey etc) marrying Frances Wallas (Wallis, Wallace) on 19 May 1768 at Bridekirk Cumberland. From what I can remember from the IGI some years ago I think the following baptisms may have been from a family bible but not sure!

William and Frances had:

Elizabeth Baity 23 April 1769 Bridekirk
William Baity b 15 March 1771 bapt 14 June 1772 Bridekirk
Frances Baity bapt 14 June 1772
Violetta Baity b 1774 bapt 2 January 1778 Bridekirk
Richard Baity b 1776 bapt 2 January 1778 Bridekirk
James Baity bapt 6 June 1778 Bridekirk
Phebe Baity bapt 27 June 1780 Bridekirk
James Baty bapt 4 June 1782 Bridekirk
Mary Baity b 1785 Bridekirk
Jonah Beattie bapt 27 September 1787 Bridekirk

From what I can remember I think it said William Beaty was from Ribton or Rileton, Bridekirk?

There is a burial for a William Batey, born c 1745 buried 29 December 1812 at Camerton, and also a Frances Beaty buried 8 January 1802 at Camerton which I think are William and Frances.

The only connection I can make for Frances Wallas is that of a daughter (name not mentioned) baptised on April 21st 1741 at Bridekirk, daughter of a Henry Wallas of Great Broughton and Ribton.
Henry Wallas also had:

Phoebe Wallas bapt 21 April 1741 Bridekirk, married 13 November 1787 Bridekirk Thomas Correy/Curry and was buried at Camerton on 26 January 1818 (as Phoebe Curry).

John Wallas 5 November 1728 Bridekirk
Ann Wallas 6 June 1732 Bridekirk
Thomas Wallas 2 April 1734 Bridekirk
Mary Wallas 22 April 1731 Bridekirk
Henry Wallas 26 January 1737 Bridekirk
William Wallas 1727 Bridekirk
Robert Wallas 15 February 1749 Bridekirk

If anyone can help with any of the above much appreciated, especially parents of Henry Wallas (and his marriage?) and also William Beaty.

Thanks :)
