Haverson
« on: Saturday 30 November 13 21:10 GMT (UK) »
Had so much luck with the Hayward side of the family now looking for help with the Haverson side.

James Haverson, Birth abt 1774 in W Newton, Norfolk, England , married a Mary Howell and had children Elizabeth, John, Sarah, Maria, William, James and I believe one or two more. Last have them in 1841 living at Bradmere House in Pentney, Norfolk, England.

Would love to know who his parents are. Found two ancestry trees with two different mothers, one John Haverson and mother Sarah Cook. The other tree had father as John Haverson and mother as Susanna Newman.

Any help, direction, suggestions are always appreciated.

Thanks, Allison

Hi

The 1841 and 1851 indicate he was born 1783/4  :)

Freereg has a christening for 1780 in West Newton parents John & Susan

Hi Allison,

Family Search has some Norfolk parish registers online.
West Newton is there, but with some pages missing.

Here's the marriage of John Haverson and Susannah Newman in 1778
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1-12986-12292-58?cc=1824688&wc=6895527

Image no. 62 has the baptism of James, which Rosie found, and on the same page, you'll see that Susannah was buried about two weeks later  :(

The next image, 63, has John, a widower, marrying Sarah Cross in 1783.

This particular record set from West Newton is also on FreeReg, unfortunately the only records released officially for transcription to FreeReg for this Parish are AT records, so many of the years Easter to Easter are omitted.
apart from a transcription of the parish records allegedly on "Thegeanealogist" records, the only way of checking the parish records are at Norwich, at the NRO and  also at the Millenium library.
