Thomas Denham of Whickham
« on: Monday 02 December 13 16:21 GMT (UK) »
Hi!
Can anyone help with the following?

I have a Thomas Denham (sometimes spelt as Dinham etc) marrying a Phillis Lawther (could be Lowther?) on 18 August 1707 at Whickham. They had:

George 1 Sep 1707
Mary 30 May 1709
John 16 Apl 1710
Thomas 13 Nov 1715
George 12 Feb 1716
Abigail 1 Nov 1716
Thomas 20 Apl 1718
Jane 28 Apl 1719
Ann 16 Aug 1719
Margaret 4 Mar 1722

John Denham, son of Thomas and Phillis married Anne Teasdale on 16 November 1735 at Whickham and had:

Thomas 29 May 1737
Eliza 16 Sep 1739
John 25 Jul 1742
Joseph 17 Feb 1745
Barbara 17 Dec 1749
Joseph 3 May 1752

All baptised at Whickham

I believe that Anne Teasdale was baptised in May 1713 at Ryton, daughter of a Thomas Teasdale and Barbary (Barbara) Wrightson?

If anyone can help with any of the above much appreciated! :)

HI....The Ryton marriage index shows that Thomas Teasdale married Barbary Wrightson on 29 May 1705.

Incidentally, the surname Denham in both Whickham and Ryton can be found with other spelling variations such as Dinham and Dennham.....

Hope this helps!   :)

Happy holidays to you and yours!
