Marriage of William Thomas Beggs to Agnes, abt 1930

William Thomas Beggs was born to John Beggs and his wife Prudence Louise Kelso, on March 12, 1907 in Belfast. William died on Apr 6, 1942. His wife was Agnes and he had 2 sons, Robert and William. I am thinking marriage must have been between 1928 and 1938 in Belfast. Would like to know Agnes' maiden name, and their date of marriage. William was a boot merchant according to research done by the CWGC. His father John was a tailor who died in 1919. I have checked familysearch and various family trees.
An online tree has his death in 2002 in Australia but that is incorrect. Maybe it was William's son William.

The online civil registration index only goes up to 1921 for Northern Ireland counties so you need to order the marriage certificate from GRONI (as I explained to you not that long ago). Remember not to post details of living people (not sure if the 2 sons are still living).

However, one never knows if a relative or a fellow researcher, might see this posting and have the information that is being requested. According to the information that I have, none of the people mentioned are still living. I do thank each and every person who has helped me in my quest for my ancestors. You are all so knowledgeable and kind and I would have been lost without this site and its members.

I just wanted to mention that the William, boot merchant, who died in 1942, wife Agnes, sons Robert and William, is not the son of John Beggs and Prudence Louise Kelso.  All four of John and Prudence's children emigrated to Australia, lived and died there. The William that I was looking for did die in 2002 in Australia. Trying to follow that one up.

Thanks Aghadowey. Further research has shown me that the boot merchant had father Robert. I have heard from the youngest son of the Australian William Thomas Beggs and I am hoping that he can help me in my research.

so you know, I have made contact with a descendant of William Beggs, the boot merchant who died in 1942. As my research showed, he was the son of Robert Beggs. As the descendant states, he was the son of Robert Beggs and Mary Ann Beattie.
I have made contact with 3 descendants of John Beggs and Prudence Kelso who all live in Australia. All four of John's surviving children emigrated in about 1923.  Now that this is sorted out, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission can proceed with putting a headstone on John's grave in Carnmoney, Ireland with the correct descendants in the loop.
