Richard Lee of Wansford

I'm searching for the parents of Richard Lee, born in about 1762. He was married to Elizabeth Unknown until her death in 1820 at Wansford.

He then married Ann Cowham in the same year at Wansford. He had 4 children with Ann until his death in 1827 at Wansford.

As I can't find him in Northants, I thought I would try some of the surrounding counties - Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire and Huntingdonshire.

It appears as though you've tried adjoining counties before - see

This scattergun approach every couple of years without referencing cross posts and previous threads isn't achieving much.

He didn't marry in Hunts so that can eliminated, yet again. There's no county wide baptism index for Hunts, so you'd need to know the parish.

Cambs FHS, Super Search, at http://www.cfhs.org.uk/index.cfm?tag=1 shows events for Richard Lee in 1760 in Waterbeach, 1780 in Cambridge St Benedict (this wasn't a marriage, so can probably be ignored) and 1794 in Outwell, but I can't tell whether they're baptisms, marriages or what. Even if you find a baptism or marriage it's going to be a job to prove that it's the same Richard who was in Northants.

The Northants board told you that Wansford wasn't included on the Northants Baptism Index - have you checked the parish register to see if there are any earlier Lee baptisms?
