help please with marriage, probably Ryhall, abt 1742
« on: Wednesday 25 December 13 17:14 GMT (UK) »
Hi,
Please could anyone help me? I'm trying to find the marriage between a John Ringham and Eleanor ?; they produced a string a children who were baptised in Ryhall, St John the Evangelist, starting with John on 3/7/1743. I can only assume that their marriage took place in Ryhall - it could also had been in one of the adjoining parishes. Also, very importantly, I know that the name Ringham has often been transcribed wrongly as "Bingham", so I think it's important to bear this in mind. I'd be very grateful for any help/advice.
Thanks,
Kit 54

Hi hepburn,
Thank you very much for that; yes it is the right burial for Eleanor.
I have tried the IGI and freereg for her marriage to John Ringham, without success; I just hope that someone might be able to help.
I didn't have John's second marriage to Mary, so I'm very grateful to you. Brilliant!
Regards,
Kit 54

Hi southistle,
That's BRILLIANT! I suspected that Eleanor's surname would be Garret, as she and John had a son baptised with that as a first name. I'm thrilled to have it and very grateful to you and hepburn for all your help.
Kindest regards,
Kit54
