Ratcliff please, my long fading memories of the North (when I was on the NE coast colliers) makes me ask if the below could be Chirton sort of back to roots?

Uhm

Just searched FindMyPast with both names on 1901 CENSUS and nothing, on the other subject could first be Banns and second marriage, do you think that is possible ?

'Hello, Hello' ! The plot don't arf thicken then !!

It appears that a certain Mary Isabella Tillman ( think sister of JohnTillman Sunderland's Architect) married a William Turnbull at Sunderland in 1862 1st qtr 10a p 428 ( she would have been 21 yrs old) - have only recently found and have not been able to check yet.
There is a Mary Isabella Turnbull who gets married in 1894 ( maybe their daughter) ?

Now without boring all too much - Thomasin ( the mother of ' Lavinia Thomasin Tillman Ellington Wilson ) was the main Witness in 1834 at the marriage of the above John Tillman's Father.
