Hi John

I am researching my mother's Dalton line and it seems that there are several links to the Holden family...Bridget ( B 19/6/1845 D 13/04/1911 ) married John Dalton..and then her father David married a Raftis which is also connected to the Dalton family.

Would love to compare with what you have!

Barbara

Hi , on my mother's side , my granfather's mother is ellen holden who married michael coady . I don't know their d.o.b. . They married on the 24th november 1909 , probably in piltown county kilkenny. I think they were buried in piltown. They lived in clogga , mooncoin county kilkenny in the civil parish of pollrone. They had 6 boys and 2 girls.

michael coady 15/5/1910 , james coady 23/5/1911 , john coady 16/9/1913 , patrick coady 15/3/1915, william coady 3/7/1916 , Thomas coady 16/12/1921 ( grandad ) , Mary keeley ( nee coady ) and margaret / peg brady ( nee coady ) don't know their d.o.b. .

don't know where ellen holden originally came from. Hope this will be of some help . If you have any info , much appreciated.

Holdens  were in Chapel Hill Co. Kilkenny.   Think they  were originally  from Ballyhale ,  but  were evicted  and  went to Chapel Hill.
