Richard grenville Malet born India 1841 died Australia ?

I once saw a reference to a Richard MALET dying in Australia but I cant find it again.  His father was a colonel in India an d Richard  married my great grandaunt in Plimlico  London in 1861.
i have found nothing of either of them since .
 She was Isabella MILNER Wharton. There has been a suggestion that a Isabella MABEL Ma let of similar age is buried in the Sewri cemetery Bombay but I am unable to access that particular transcription .
 if anyone knows of this Wiltshire/Indian Ma let  or family members in Australia can you point me in the right direction . Thank You. Fred

If you could provide Richard's parents christian names thanks, this would help looking for a death registration (in some states) of Australia.

See on Ancestry there is a family tree with a Richard Grenville Malet bc1840 who married an Isabella Milner Wharton 1861 who died 03 Aug 1875 Sewree, Bombay, and father name shown as George Grenville bc1804 d1856 - no mother name shown.

A death registration 92866 of a Richard G. MALLOTT year 1919 Goulburn NSW Australia with parents George and Mary A.

Hi thank you for the very quick reply. it is likely that the Ancestry tree is mine. it is possible if Richard was hiding his Indian bloodlines he may have said his mother was Mary as his STEPMOTHER is def. a Mary. His mother was a well connected Indian lady named bibi Fatima. Richard himself was educated I believe at St Paul's in Bombay .
 i will do some research and see if his stepmother  is a Mary A.

Hello Fred, another site (in Australia) you could try is TROVE which lists FREE! a lots of newspapers throughout Australia - that is if you haven't already done so.  I have had a quick look but with the possible spelling of MALET taking on various derivations, it will take time and patience to trawl the trove!
Good luck … sounds like Richard had interesting parentage and background to explore.  Bonnie

There is this death in Victoria.  You can download a certificate for $AU20.  Unfortunately this one seems to have parents listed as unknown.  It may, however, have marraige details, if known to the informant.

Australian certificates (and particularly Victorian certs) have space for much more information than UK ones.  Of course it depends what the informant knows.
