Thomas Hardy/Hardey born approx 1889 Jersey

Please could you help I have trying to find the family of Thomas Hardy/Hardey born approx. 1889 Jersey His father was George Hardy/Hardey.
He Married in Wales in 1920 registered Bridgend Glamorgan to Sarah E Bevan.
I am helping a friend who knows little of his grandfather Thomas.

Thank you have found him on the 1911 census living with the Baker family at 47 Brynhydred terrace Waunllwyd. Working at Ebbew Vale Steel and Irons  and Coal

So, he was born in Newport, Monmouthshire and NOT Jersey?!

No the 1911 census states he was born in Jersey C IAny help to find his family would be wonderful in 1911 he lived Ebbew Vale,  he was a lodger with the Baker family

Rather late with this reply.
Thomas was born in Jersey, then was put in an orphanage in Hackney London
.On the 3rd July 1903 age 14 was sent with 100 children known as Home children to Ontario Canada, on the Bavarian ship of the Allen Line, through the Macpherson /Banardos  orphanage. With a Mr Merry. Have the transportation details.
He stowed away back to the Forest Of Dean. England.

On his marriage cert states his father was Thomas Hardy/Hardey have no evidence of this.
Found his mother a Miss Ellen McAucliffe, and his grandmogher Ellen McAucliffe.
