Hi Dathai and Aghadowey, thank you both for doing the searches, it seems as if I am never going to find them on the census. I am thinking of getting in touch with the archivist to ask if there was any chance that they may have been in the Cork Union Workhouse, in which case their full names would not be shown.

Sorry but i hate to bring this up,not saying this is your family but if it is it might explain a few things,on the Irish Prison Register at Family Search there is a Margaret Healy persistant offender next of kin John Healy,this John Healy has been done for neglect of children in 1910 and 1914 its up to you to check it out.

Searching 1911 census using initial system ie H for Healy M for Margaret returns H M age 34 at Carrignaveigh Female Prison.
Prison Return Form K
Number 15 on list M H ,R Catholic,can read,age 34,housekeeper,married 15yrs 7born 6 alive,born Cork,Assault,time of conviction Feb 1911,sentence 14 days hard labour plus 2 calendar months bail.

Hi Dathai, Thank you for that information, with all the information given to me I have now started going down that line of enquiry just in case they are my great grandparents.
Looking at my records I do have 6 births pre 1911 for Margaret it may be that still be one birth that i do not know about if so the M H you have sent me information on may well be my Margaret. I promise you i am looking into every lead sent to me thank you  :) :)
