Coote Estate, BALLYFIN, Queens Country
« on: Tuesday 14 January 14 18:10 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone tell me where I could find out if any Parkinson family member worked with Coote Estate
in Ballyfin or Mountrath, Queens County (present day Laois) during mid 1700's to 1800's?

The National Archives in Bishop Street Dublin has the majority of the Coote estate papers. These are not online and would have to be personally accessed.. See details from Landed estates database for refernces.
http://landedestates.nuigalway.ie/LandedEstates/jsp/estate-show.jsp?id=542
The Genealogical Society of Ireland has some deeds and rentals from the Coote Estate that are being indexed and will be online shortly but refer to a later period.
The GSI also has some deeds from the estate and surrounding areas - see website
http://familyhistory.ie/wp/our-online-databases/
Hope this is of help.
