Vallely family co down ireland
« on: Thursday 30 January 14 21:42 GMT (UK) »
I am tracing my family tree, with help off this site i have found out quite a lot BUT i still want to know more if possible.
I know my great grandmother was called Bridget Vallely born 1902 and lived at 59 hornidge street, pottinger, co down. with her parents and brother patrick vallely born 1904.
Bridgets mother and father my (great grand mother and father) were patrick vallely born around 1876 and mary ann vallely born1875.
can anyone help me go back further than i already have...thanks in advance

There was lots of information posted on your previous topic but not sure that it was yet proved that the Bridget Vallely in 1911 census is the correct person.

If you click on 'report to moderator' you can get this topic moved to the Antrim board (where Belfast queries belong).

Meanwhile here's the link to that 1911 census entry-

Even though the census records says it's Co. Down Pottinger district is part of Belfast so all Belfast queries are kept on the same board (Antrim because most of Belfast is there). The reason for posting a link to the earlier topic is to let others know what has alreay been found and discussed.

If you click on 'report to moderator' you can get this topic moved to the Antrim board (where Belfast queries belong).

This looks like the correct Patrick Vallely in 1901 with his family, so lots more information for you to look through. Notice that Patrick's birthplace now given as Belfast.

Will have a look for some more details.

A Catherine Vallely married Thomas Boyle in 1901- possibly Patrick's sister Kate (right age and area in 1911)-
