Sailed to Australia between 1916 and 1920
« on: Tuesday 04 February 14 14:05 GMT (UK) »
Daisy Violet Hemsley married Clayforth Hey 2q 1916 Woolwich 1d 2491.

I believe that Daisy sailed separately to Australia between 1917 and 1920 because Clayforth Hey was in France between 1914 and 1917.

His Unit embarked from Fremantle, Western Australia, on board Transport A11 Ascanius on 2 November 1914 and returned to Australia 18 October 1917.

Can anyone help find any sailings from England for Daisy Violet HEY and Clayforth HEY during this time?

Thank you in advance for looking. :D

Daisy was born in Godstone 1q 1890 so that looks like the correct journey. :)

The sailing is correct as I have found an article stating that she arrived in Fremantle March 1918.

Clayforth and Daisy Hey were divorced 15 December 1920.

Do you know more about the marriage Registration?

This looks like her family in 1901. Although it is transcribed as Daisy N, it is Daisy V on the actual census. Caterham is next to Godstone.
