Alderney - McCourt

I am looking for the births of Francis J McCourt (born 1867) and Alfred B McCourt (born 1868).
According to Scottish and English Censuses they are born in Alderney, Channel Islands.
Their parents Robert and Martha McCourt are according to the 1861 Census living in Jersey.

Any help or hints much appreciated.

1861 shows Robert was b 1833 Ireland and was a gunner in the Royal Artillery
Martha was b 1835 England

I would imagine Robert was posted to the barracks in Jersey and that is why they were there.
I haven't found them in the 1871 census, so I don't know for how long they staid.

In 1891 - I think this could be Robert & Alfred living in Glasgow

Are you trying to establish Martha's maiden name?  As she presumably died in Scotland between 1881-1891 - downloading her death cert from the Scotlands People website will give you that info

Thanks for all the info.
Martha's maiden name was Spargo and she died in Glasgow in 1889.
What I would really like to know is how to find the birth certificates/ baptismal records for her two sons, do the records still exist ?
I would also like to know whether Robert and Martha were married in Jersey, as of yet I haven't managed to find their marriage certificate.
