Its took some finding but have managed to find a baptism for Hannah

Hannah illegitimate daughter of Elizabeth Bradberry servant of Dodworth 23 March 1800 so could the John Gant/Gaunt be a step father.

Incredible work! It really is like a jigsaw puzzle: all the pieces are there, they just need to be fitted together.

Since Hannah never took the name Gaunt (she was Hannah Bradberry when she married Lionel) would you suppose that Mr. Gaunt was NOT the father?

We can't really say one way or the other so for now I'd go with no he wasn't, so it all fits now she was born Hannah Bradberry she married Lionel Hawksworth the father on the marriage record for her 2nd marriage was her step father.

Found a possible baptism for her mother Elizabeth
Elizabeth Bradberry baptised 15 March 1778 father James Bradberry of Hoylandswaine.
I'll leave you to find the rest maybe her mother had other children you know where I am if you need anymore help.

John emigrated to Pennsylvania where he worked for many years as a blacksmith. I believe his farm remained in the family for more than 100 years. I don't have my notes handy, but John married Sarah MacDonald and their son Winfield Scott Hawksworth was my G grandad; WS's son, James, was my grandfather; and James' son Thomas is my father. Our family moved west (Illinois) in 1973. Hawksworth is a uncommon surname here in the midwest, but appears much more frequently back East.
