This is a marriage possibility for grandmother Bridget, just to note it for the moment until you can find anything substantive to rule in or out:

(BTW, there are births/baptisms available on familysearch to follow up should this couple turn out to be relevant.)

Thank you so much, I have always had problems with Family search site the page always freezes up when trying to search. would be forever gratefull if you could point me to another source for finding
(George Jenkins aged 18 in the 1911 ) wedding, I believe it was definitely in Ireland the only child I know he fathered was a Mary Ellen born around 1923 but there was most probably a lot more, he and his wife moved to England sometime after 1923 and sent for Mary Ellen when she was of working age (14).   Don't know why they left her in Ireland but rumour says she was left with gradparents.

If you have a subscription to  Ancestry  - some libraries have it for free - you can search in Irish indexes for births, marriages etc. Otherwise it is Family Search.
Possible marriage here:  https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FYNM-MPJ but if  you don't know his wife's name, it will be difficult to find her.

Maybe Mary Ellen here: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/F1SQ-SJQ

Looking at Jenkins births on FS , some have mother has McMenemy. Here is a Rose McMenemey with the same marriage reference  https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FYF1-STB

You can send for certificates as before.

Thanks very much heywood,
I have a subscription to Ancestry but wether its because I don't have the full membership all I get is a bit of info and a page number and reference but doesn't give me the option to pay extra to view the file.

You can't view Irish certificates online on Ancestry or elsewhere- you need to order the certificate to see full details.
