To lookup a marriage you have to know which church it took place in

Thank you Carole - the information I had was that the RD was Aberystwyth (see below).  Do you mean that there is no such Registration District?  It looks from your list that there may be one though.  I would appreciate your advice.   Thanks again.

Hi

Aberystwyth is/was a registration district - but it covered BMD registrations for all the civil parishes shown in the link.  That means your ancestors could have married in any church in any of those areas.

Unless any local transcriptions exist - it would mean somebody physically searching through 3 months of records in every single church so I doubt you would get many volunteers for that task  ;D.  This is why you need the name of the church to lookup a marriage.
