help needed re Barrett/Dowd marriage

Hi, I really hope I haven't asked for help on this particular issue before, if I have, apologies. I am looking for a record of a marriage between Thomas Barrett and Elizabeth/Eliza/Lizzie Dowd in Dublin circa 1906. On the 1901 and 1911 census elizabeth is living is Sussex Road/Terrace in Rathmines. The only information I have regarding Thomas is from their daughter's baptism and birth cert. He was a labourer, and their address in 1907 is 1 Carman Hall, just off Francis Street. I am not entirely sure they even married except for the fact that elizabeth takes on his name for a few years. But I am working on the theory they did marry until I can rule it out. I would love to find a marriage for them or possibly a death for Thomas. In case it helps, their daughter was baptised in St Nicholas's church in Francis Street.

Could find a match for the marriage yet bt I'm a bit confused about dates here.

There's an Elizabeth Dowd in Upper Sussex Terrace in 1911 but she's only 8 years old

In 1901 there's an Elizabeth Dowd age 15 living in Sussex Road which is more likely to be the correct person-

Thanks, have tried familysearch but will go back to the drawing board and try variations on the names.

Aghadowey, I believe the eight year old in 1901 is my Elizabeth's niece. The 15 year old is her, and she appears in 1911 at the same address (i think) living with her mam and sister and listed as single. But, by 1911 she has had 3 children. Mary born 1907, Thomas Barrett listed as father. Francis born 1909 died 1910, father Francis Saul, Catherine born 1911, no father listed but Elizabeth lists herself as Lizzie Barrett formerly Dowd on the birth cert. So I am simply trying to find out did she actually marry a Thomas Barrett. She married Francis Saul in 1914 and I can't figure out why they waited unless she maybe was married to Thomas and he left or something and she had to wait 7 years to remarry. Confusing, I know.

You hadn't mentioned that they are listed as ODowd in 1911-

However, no children are listed in the household (Francis died before 1911) but are Mary (b.1907) and Catherine (born 1911) elsewhere?

I am still confused and even more confused now, is the Elizabeth Maria Dowd born 1 Sussex Tce 1885 to John Dowd and Anne Higgins the wife of Francis Saul ,because after checking that baptism on Irish Genealogy it appears that she married Patrick Malone on the 27th Sep 1911 written by the Priest in the remarks column.

Two things you are going to have to check on Francis Sauls marriage to Elizabeth you will have to get the mothers maiden name from the church record to verify if she is Anne Higgins which i doubt and the prison record for Sarah Dowd of Ashe St that i gave you last year to see will it give you any hint of relatives i cant find this Sarah Dowd born 1878 according to the prison register on the census either.
