I am now looking for a Parker connection, hopefully I can find the marriage in Whitmore, Staffs.

Whitmore, Staffordshire.

John Jenks of the parish of Stoke Stafford & Lorna Parker of this parish. Married in the Chapel by Banns.

20th May 1793 by R Dewhurst. (he was the Curate)

Both signed X as did the one witness Edward Banks.

Hello I have received a copy of the relevant Salome Jenks' Death certificate, the information it gives is thus:

 1858 Death in the sub-district of Wem in the county of Salop. No. 484.

When and where died: fourteenth March 1858 Lee Brockenhurst.
Name and surname: Salome Jenks.
Sex: Female.
Age: 93 years.
Occupation: Widow of John Jenks labourer.
Cause of death: Old age and infirmity No medical attendant.
Signature, description and residence of informant: X The mark of Sarah Jenks present at the death Lee Brockenhurst.
When registered: fifteenth March 1858.
Signature of registrar: Thomas Vaughan Registrar

 That puts her birth year as 1765 or 1764.

Hello John,

The baptism for Salome is still undecided.
I have not found another marriage to John Jenks other than already posted. I just wonder whether a marriage has not been indexed or transcribed yet.
