Buried at church in Althorpe area
« on: Monday 03 March 14 22:07 GMT (UK) »
We believe my mother in law's baby sister Maureen Cockerill was buried at a church in the Althorpe area. Is there any way of finding out if this is the case? Maureen died in the spring of 1941 and was around a year old.  Any help or guidance greatly appreciated.

Maureen's death reference is registered as following;

Deaths Mar 1941
Cockerill    Maureen    1    Northampton    3b   163

 I checked if Althorpe was part of Northampton, it didn't have that place on list. You will probably need to send for her death cert to see exactly where she died. This record will help you order her death certificate if required. Good luck.

 Thank you Angela for such a speedy response. Apologies though as I realise I have not explained my request well. I have Maureen's death certificate details but it is her final resting place I am trying to ascertain.  My mother in law's mother told us that Maureen was buried at Althorp, but I doubt it would have been on the estate.  However, it would be nice to know exactly where as we would like to pay our respects when we are in the area.  Any information regarding the cemeteries in that area and if possible a register of plots would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards
