POOLE family of Ipswich
« on: Tuesday 04 March 14 09:28 GMT (UK) »
Hi all,

I am looking for information on the Poole family from Ipswich. Specifically:
# Albert Walter Poole (b. ~1870) who married Julia Elizabeth Welham (b. ~1870). Their daughter Bertha Rosseta Poole (b. 1901) married Harry Arguile. Bertha and Harry immigrated to South Africa in the 1920s. Albert and Julia also had a son called Albert.
#  Albert Poole (~1870) father was Walter William Poole and his mother was Charlotte (Church?)
he had 2 siblings Rosseta (b. ~1872) and Fred Walter (b. ~1874)

Any further information that people might have come across on this family and their ancestry would be much appreciated.

Kind Regards
Duncan Bennie

In 1901 Albert 31 & Julia 31 have the following children

Julia 4
Albert 3
Allen 2
Bertha 1 month

Another daughter Ida born 1904.

One child (not included above) has died by 1911.  Possibly Ernest Frederick born 1903.

By 1911 Walter William is widowed living with daughter.

Death for Charlotte Poole Sep 1901 Ipswich age 55 that could be her.

Death for Rosetta M Poole Dec 1945 Ipswich age 74.

Not sure about Fred yet.  He may have married in 1897 but not found him with a wife yet  8)

This could be him married to Rosa Jane Cage who was one of the brides on the 1897 marriage.

1901

Frederick Poole 27 - maker of potted meats
Rosa Jane 28

daughter Amy Millicent born later in 1901

Will leave you in peace to digest all that potted meat for a while now  :D

Is Fred Poole still a matter of interest to you?   Ive just seen this, and Fred was my grandfather. I have researched the family for years and can tell you more if interested.
