Elizabeth Rice 1826 Taunton

Can anyone help find Elizabeth's father in 1841 Census or later if he is  still around

I have Elizabeth's marriage certificate:

8th June 1851,Parish of St James to Thomas Reed,23, butcher, father Francis Reed, butcher Address: Earl Street to Elizabeth Rice,21, servant. Father Thomas Rice, bricklayer. Address: Marlboro St. Witnesses: Robert & Mary Parfit.
Have Elizabeth and husband Thomas in all census' after this until her death in 1908.

Possibly the witnesses in 1851.  Living at  8, Oil Mill Place, St Phillips & St Jacobs, Bristol. All Reed children born Bristol and Mary was from Taunton.  However this is presumably the groom and his family

Got them. Haven't managed to track Thomas' parents on 1841 census either! Thought I'd try to sort one thing out at a time
Thomas' parents were Francis Reed and Isabella Jones, married Clifton Bristol 9th February 1821. Haven't got a clue why their sons all ended up with Robert and Mary Parfet by 1851 Census, thought there may have been a family connection somewhere but haven't managed to sort it yet

There is a death reg of a Thomas Rice in Taunton in Dec Qtr 1839 Vol  10 Page 274 that might be worth considering

There is a baptism of an Elizabeth Rice with parents Thomas and Elizabeth at Taunton St Mary Magdalene on 20 July 1828.  Thomas is listed as a mason and they were living at Eastreach

Thank you very much for that, will have a look at the baptism for the girls and see if I can find Sarah too. And if that is the missing Thomas dying in 1839 no wonder I couldn't find him in 1841 Will the death cert give his trade?

Had a look at the death of Thomas in Taunton Vol10 Pg 274 Dec qtr, couldn't find it on subscription site so went to look at image on BMD and it looks like it is for a Thomas Rich not Thomas Rice. Is that the same one you were looking at?

I have also just double checked this on FreeBMD and the death is recorded there as Thomas Rich.  Having looked at the image on FreeBMD sadly the 1839 death is for Thomas Rich - Apologies

Still haven't managed to confirm where Thomas Rice went but have managed to solve where Mary Parfit/Parfett fits in

Mary is Elizabeth's mother who ended up marrying four times!

Mary Ann Rice born 1795, living in Bristol, multiple marriages.

Elizabeth Rice's marriage to Thomas Reed: he was a son of Francis Reed, who was the second husband of Mary, Elizabeth's mother, and was Elizabeth's step brother

Francis Reed was transported to Australia for sheep stealing in 1836, which led to Mary marrying a Samuel Venn and then Robert Parfett.

So at least I know what happened to three of the four husbands
