1834 Baptism for a David Day in Linton
« on: Sunday 16 March 14 11:53 GMT (UK) »
Hi again, Everyone,
For the first time for ages last week I went to the CCRO to look up details of the DAY family in Hildersham and Linton.  But I'm obviously seriously out of practice, as I came away without the vital details of the baptisms of children in Linton after an 1833 marriage in Babraham of a John Baldwin DAY and a Sarah CROW.  From the various Census entries it would seem that the eldest son David DAY was born/baptised in 1834, but could some kind soul confirm this for me, and perhaps also the baptisms of his siblings.
Many thanks, keith

Hi Keith

Linton baptisms are on the IGI. David Day was baptised on 11 Aug 1833, born 23 June 1833, but his parents are shown as Joseph and Sarah, not John and Sarah.

How sure are you about the marriage you mention in 1833 as the IGI shows it as being between Joseph Day and Sarah Crow. Not John Baldwin Day.

Hi again, David,
Sorry, not even sure what Day of the week it is at the moment!  I should indeed have said that the marriage was between a Joseph Baldwin DAY and a Sarah CROW, and thanks very much for that 1833 birthdate.

I hope the weather is as warm and sunny in Carcassone as it is here in Cambridge at the moment…
Regards, keith
