I have been attempting to match up our various Hartshorns... but it seems there were two families of that name in Thurmaston and I am sorry but my lot don't link to yours (at least I don't think they do)

I haven't gone back to far as they are only STEP relations my father's 2nd wifes family..

So the furthest I go is to Charles Hartshorn and his wife Mary Ann Ellen.  They would be circa 1870's.

will read your info a bit more to check it out...

Xinia

Do you know Charles and Mary's birth date and Mary's maiden name? A lady called Ann Price and myself have managed to sort out a fair bit of the thurmaston families.
I am related to a Charles hartshorn and Mary smith

Hello

Sorry no idea they are my Fathers 2nd wife's relations.

All I have is Herberts birth cert. in rather a dilapidated state... and it states
Charles Hartshorn and Mary Ann Allen.

Are you the whoops ?! person :)  I spoke to regarding the bible??

Hi
Had a quick look. I have a Charles hartshorn and an Emma Allen. Charles born 1846 and Emma 1841 I think. Living on barkby road thurmaston on 1881 census.
I'll have a look to see if i can find anything else. As far as I can tell, all the thurmaston families can trace back to john hartshorn born 1740. The families seem to move between belgrave, birstal and thurmaston.

I think we have spoke before but don't think it was the bible
