“Thank you for your query. The Morey Forum uses a clanning system where KLN = clan. Your Hannah Morrey was born 22 Nov 1763 Wybunbury, CHS, ENG daughter of James Morrey born 20 Apr 1718 Wybunbury, CHS, ENG, and Margaret Wilkinson who he married 14 Jun 1760 Wybunbury, CHS, ENG. This does not change your possibility Elizabeth of Audlem might have married James Morrey. His father was James Morrey born 15 Feb 1681 Audlem, CHS, ENG who married 03 Aug 1707 at Audlem, CHS, ENG Margery Edwards.  We know your Morrey clan as KLN Margery Edwards. James Morrey born 15 Feb 1681 was son of William Morrey born Abt 1650”.  http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/MOREY/2010-06/1277677915

A Philip Morrey and Eleanor Hawkins wer parents of John Morrey born 11/3/1715.  http://www.familycentral.net/index/family.cfm?ref1=5769:4090&ref2=5769:4091

Thank you. The MORREY name is found in a number of Cheshire wills. One Leonard MORREY, skinner, of Buerton, made a LW&T in 1626. The will and inventory survive. Also of Buerton, in 1720, were the minors Margaret and Leonard MORREY and one Ann MORREY. They are named in someone's administration documents. There is a will also for Richard MORREY of Buerton dated 1724. This is too early to have been the brother, but the naming is almost too much to be coincidental. I have a suspicion that brother Leonard did come over, but as I am looking at records for other reasons, I have not followed up.

One cousin JOHN MORREY is named in 1715 LW&T of Humphrey MORREY the elder along with "my other first cozins" not named. The LW&T of Humphrey's grandson, Thomas MORREY, Gentleman, of Cheltenham Township, dated Sept and proved Oct 1735 (E. 347) leaves rents from his London properties to his mother and after her death to children of John MORREY on the Mere in Cheshire, England, as of 1735.

John MORREYs in Cheshire included John, of Hooten, mentioned in a codicil of someone's 1631 LW&T. John, yeoman, of Wettenhal, inventory only, 1685. John, yeoman, of Wirswall, will and inventory, 1700. John MURREY, yeoman, of Bartholomey, 1681.

You can find a prominent merchant Morrey family in the Isle of Man.

Lastly, this comes from the head of the Murray DNA Project:
"I think Humphrey Murray was in England as a member of Tullibardine family as their Murrays were there with the Stuart King of the day as Reps from Scotland.
1. Humphrey Murray of Tullibardine family at London 1640 circa.
2. Humphrey Murray his son to Philadelphia as Mayor ? married Jean. He was a Quaker.
3. Humphrey Murray son of his son John (so Grandson converted back to Presbyterianism at Philadelphia)"

She also sent this apparently from http://www.geni.com/people/Sir-William-Murray-of-Tullibardine/6000000002188108012:
"(96) Sir William Murray of Tullibardine, died 30th January 1562. He was served heir
to his grandfather 23rd May 1525, and married Katherine, daughter of Sir Duncan
Campbell of Glenorchy, and had issue:
96(a) William (No. 97 below).
96(b) Alexander Murray of Wester Aberlednoch and Drumphin, died February
1596. He married Isobel, daughter and heiress of Peter Reidheuch, and had:
96(b)1 John Murray of Drumphin, living 1597.
96(b)2 William Murray of Wester Aberlednoch and Drumphin. Served heir to
his brother, John, 26th March 1603. He married before 12th March 1605 Elizabeth,
daughter of Dr Gilbert Moncreifi
96(b)3 Alexander Murray, living 1604.
96(b)4 Humphrey Murray, living 1623.

I have had some correspondence with ourcedarhill@windstream.net about the foregoing.

I just realized that I can include attachments.  Here are some, and there may be overlap with what I already posted.
