Hiya, I'm researching the same guy! William Augustus appears to be from an earlier marriage (Ann Jane Cross being his step-mother and the 'brother' George Philip is actually his half brother).

I think its interesting that father George William and Ann Jane marry in 1875 but don't appear to have any children for 7 years … I'm wondering if George was either abroad in the militia in possibly in gaol for the intervening years?
