Thanks. That looks like the right woman. A birth around 1920-25 would fit with that and with the recollection of the surviving relative who met the family when they came to Scotland c. 1974.

The information above came to me via a relative in Calgary who is John MacDonald's granddaughter from his first marriage. The family was contacted by a researcher looking for Donna's relatives, so the information they received was second hand. I can't say Danica's daughter definitely wasn't married, but the information received suggests not. Perhaps you could PM the details?

On the link that RedMystic posted there was Danica and Zlatko as minors; there is a possible matching obit for Zlatko that might help?

bbart: I also spotted that and have sent a message to a man who appears to be Zlatko's son via the magic of LinkedIn. This should confirm whether this is the correct family. Thanks for your interest - I'm keen to resolve this while those who met the family are still alive.
