I agree, Monica, re. David's birthplace.    Reckon it was probably a 'guesstimate' on the tree and submitter didn't have details of 1871 census.

Hi there,

My name is Jennifer and my mum is Margaret Conis. We have been trying to find out more about the Conis side of our family as it has been a bit of a mystery, but haven’t had much luck past finding out that my mum and her mum (also Margaret Conis) were both essentially named after Margaret (Mary) Conis, born 1864, who was the sister of Belinda Conis. We never knew that.

Mary Conis (Belinda’s sister) married Thomas Millar/Miller and never had any daughters as far as we know, only two sons, one named Samuel Miller/Millar who died at only a year old, the other was my G grandfather Robert Derby Millar/Miller.

He only had two children, both daughters, and he named his first daughter after his mother, Margaret Conis Miller. She is my grandmother. Her sister was Helen Jane Miller, but she was always known to my mum as ‘Auntie Jean’.
