Pre 1855 MIs for Mid Lothian - Wood family

I see there is a post re MIs , but rather than jump on someone else's, thought I'd start afresh.
Looking for any MI for Wood family mostly in Whitburn.
I have James, William and John all in the Cart Tax rolls for 1785- 1791 at Whitburn and Torbanhill.
No knowing if these were brothers, father and sons etc.
James married Helen Black 1807 at Whitburn. First two children born Whitburn. Last child  born Helen about 1825 (can't find christening - prob in Paisley). Have their children in 1841 Census in Paisley. Can't find parent's deaths in Paisley. Perhaps they moved back to Whitburn- hopefully.
Any help gratefully received - a brick wall for dozens of years!
