Good work dathai

I believe from Galway records that Bridget’s address was Henry Street, GALWAY

RENMORE is the location of an Army Barracks so Thomas could be from anywhere
I will check military for more info

Link to 1901 census for Birketts
Link to 1911 census for Birketts
as found by dathai

If this is correct this is most likely Brigid’s baptism record

I've PMed with additional information that may relate to the living

Found  by googling''Thomas Cantwell Connaught Ranger''
from The New Ranger magizine
no 8457 Pte Thomas Cantwell from Tullamore was luckier he survived the war went on to get married and have a family and ended up a postman in Galway city after he left the army.INCLUDES his photo.

Also what i think is the 1911 census of Gough Barracks Ferozepore,Punjab,India.

Is'nt it very coincidental that a William Mulvoy age 18 in 1911 grandson of Mary Barrett is a Private in The 3 rd Connaught Rangers  living at 15 Henry St, Galway.

Oh my! Nicholas - Nixie to his family - was my uncle. He died many years before I was born and so I never got to meet him, though I did carry round a photo of him in my purse for a long time until it was stolen. I came across this site as I was searching for information on my father, Bernard (Barney) Cantwell. He was Nixie's younger brother. I knew my grandparents were Thomas and Bridgit, but nothing beyond that, although my father had said that his family originally came from Tullamore and that one of them had married into the Salmon family who were supposed to be local aristocrats. I'm speechless at all the hard work you've put in and how accurate your research is. Thank you so very much. If any of the Cantwells wish to get in touch, please leave a message here.  Bernice Cantwell.
