Had to post in sections (added a bit to 1st part)- told you there were LOTS of Moffatts in the area!
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Thomas Moffat (c1804-1 Dec.1888), blacksmith, Craigmore

Aghadowey, when it says "Craigmore", are you under the impression that that would be where he was currently living at the time the record was made, or where he was born (or grew up)?

Craigmore was where he lived but not sure if that was his birthplace

  By chance, would you still have data from the Caldwell line accessible in your records?
