Listening to a Radio 4 programme this afternoon about Education, from the 1944 Act onwards, mention was made of Sir Alec Clegg......I do hope there's no genealogical connection to Nick Clegg! - is there???
Threlfall (Southport), Isherwood (lancs & Canada), Newbould + Topliss(Derby), Keating & Cummins (Ireland + lancs), Fisher, Strong& Casson (all Cumberland) & Downie & Bowie, Linlithgow area Scotland . Also interested in Leigh& Burrows,(Lancashire) Griffiths (Shropshire & lancs), Leaver (Lancs/Yorks) & Anderson(Cumberland and very elusive)
