This award winning book has been available in print in Welsh since 2002 and in English since 2012.

I understand that it has only been available in e-book form for a couple of months (because I am an old fashioned reader I might be wrong). However it is available as an e-book and is well worth a read.

I am distantly related to both Angharad Price, the author and Rebecca Jones, the subject; but even if I wasn't related I would recommend this book to anybody who has a Welsh hill farming family background – it is a poignant description of how life had changed (and to some extent remained the same) on the lonely slopes of the Welsh hill farm between 1900 and 2000.

It is essential reading for any family historian who has such a family background – and a great read, with a twist in the tail, for those who don't.
