« on: Monday 05 May 14 13:24 BST (UK) »
Hi All,

Can someone tell me where the "Ashmore", which arrived in South Australia 2nd October 1884 originated from?

I have Sydney Lamb (born 1857 Adelaide), his wife Emily Jeffrey (born c 1855), and their children Edith, Emily, and Ethel. Another daughter Adelaide Ashmore was born Aug 1884 aboard "Ashmore" .

Cant find a marriage or birth of children anywhere

Any ideas and/or help appreciated

SA BDM indexes but there is often more information on the CD resources.

My resource shows that Adelaide Ashmore's place of birth was "Aboard Ashmore".
The next seven births listed by cupoflife were at Jamestown and the last at Croydon.

If you have access to Ancestry, there are 10 trees, some with resources but the spelling errors and incorrect year of death for Sydney indicate some copy and paste not original research.
