Thank you.

My ancestor enlisted in the Sappers and Miners in 1813 and the enlistment record states his parish of birth is Landebeer and county Carmarthen.

I had wondered about the Llandybie place when I was wandering around parishes and places.

Llandybie is on the outskirts of ammanford.  It would have been a very rural area on 1813.

He quite probably worked for the betws colliery in ammanford.  Sandra
