Knipe
« on: Sunday 11 May 14 15:22 BST (UK) »
Hi
i am looking any information on a Matilda Knipe of Cookstown Magherafelt area she was born around 1862 to 1868 i have checked through records on G.R.O.N.I. and the only birth cert i can find is one of a Matilda Knipe born 1868 gives her father as William but on her marriage cert it gives her father as James she was married in 1882 to a William J Brown. On the 1901 censuses it gives her age at 35.Any help on this would be appreciated as i am not sure which way to progress the family tree descendants from Matilda.

many thanks
Ernie

Try ''Googling'' these names and see what you find.
James Knipe and Mary McKeon.

Matilda Knipe born Nov 1868 would have been only 14 in 1882.

 Hi dathai
Thanks for the reply's this does look to be the Matilda i am looking for.Her date of birth seems to be 1859 earlier than i thought explains why it is not in GRONI with the date she passed away also there i was able to look up her death cert on GRONI to double check. The family had moved to the Carmoney area in the early 1900s and this is her place of death on the cert.Once again thank you, another bit solved in the family tree.

Ernie

Hi
I am researching the family of James Knipe and Mary McKeown .... your Matilda was the sister of Ellen Jane, my great grand-mother.
It would be good to compare notes. Contact me at jrirish@hotmail.com

Hi
I'm only back to James Knipe / Mary McKeown (McQuone) Married 1853 Ballyneill

Ellen Jane did marry William Campbell

I have a note that Matilda was baptised on 27.01.1861

Any additional info you can provide on the Knipes would be much appreciated
