Hi. I'm descended from the Thomas Knipe 1798 – 1892  and Margaret McGeagh 1814 – 1891 line.
Thomas is my 2nd. Great Grandfather. Their son, Robert T. Knipe b Aug. 24, 1841 - D 26 Oct. 1891 married Martha Anne Watson, they are my Great Grandparents.  I would like to connect with anyone who has info on these lines!
Thank you, Peggy, Canada.

hi i believe my great x3 grandfather was Roberts brother James born i think 1828 and my great x2 grandmother was his daughter Matilda born 1859  she live in the Cookstown Magherafelt area i came across an article on the Knipe twins, giants of Magherafelt and was wondering was there any connection they would have lived around the late 1700s ? In the photo i have attached the woman on the right of the photo is Matilda Brown nee Knipe and her daughter on the left my great grand mother the woman in the middle is Matilda s sister. Have you got any other information of this era or photos i would be interested in any family information to add to my family tree.

thank you,
Ernie

That's a fascinating picture .... I can see some resemblance in later generations
Can you name any of the five others in the pic (other than Matilda Knipe) for me please

Follow up to Ernie's? post, (it disappeared when I went to 'reply' so I don't have the info to refer to!).
Ernie, do you have a tree on ancestry.com that i could look at?
There were a great many Knipes in this area and much name repetition, Knipe named 'Robert, James, William, Matilda, Nancy, Thomas, pop up lots!'
My Robert, Robert Thomson Thompson Knipe 1841 – 1891 of Unagh, near Cookstown, had a brother James,  b. Dec. 19, 1845 in Unagh, Parish of Lissan, near Cookstown,
Death Sep 1916 in Ireland. James Knipe married Mary Elizabeth Dale b. 1855,  my research shows they did not have any children.
I'd love to see your tree and see where we might join up. Thanks, Peggy
