Ada Boston
« on: Thursday 15 May 14 08:49 BST (UK) »
I have finally found a baptism record for my grandmother, after more than 7 years of looking, after FindMyPast put the Shropshire records online. She was baptised in Rodington on 25 Aug 1878 her parents being Frederick Boston and Emma Pritchard and her birth is given as 30 Apr 1877. I have applied for her birth certificate but Gro cannot find it, anyone any suggestions where to go from here, I presume she cannot have been born in Shropshire?

Do you have Ada on any census?

Was she perhaps illegitimate, and therefore registered as Pritchard?
If so, Emma may have gone somewhere else to give birth.

Maybe?

Hi
It is a long story but apparently her parents travelled with a theatre company!! So it's possible. I thought she could have been born as Ada Pritchard but have had no luck until now - will have a look at this one. I have not found her on the 1881 census but think I have found her on 1891 census as Emily living with her mother in Liverpool.
Thanks.   Pat
