CANHAM in Littleport
« on: Friday 16 May 14 02:52 BST (UK) »
I am hoping someone has access to the Littleport PR or BTs, or can advise me the best way to get info from Australia.

I have Thomas CANHAM buried in Littleport 11th Feb 1825, aged 58

and - Sarah CANHAM buried same place 12th Jan 1849, aged 80.  I believe she was nee WALKER

Children all born in Littleport John 1793-1843; Rebecca 1797-1797; Thomas 1799-1799; Sarah 1802; Rebecca 1805; William 1809.

The Thomas / Sarah marriage was 23rd Sep 1793.

I am hoping to find the parents of both Sarah WALKER and Thomas CANHAM  Chr should have been 1765-1775. If Thomas was a local, then this will bridge the gap between my line and the Freebmd records on line for Littleport.

I think the PR records for St George's after c1750 are missing but the Bishop's Transcripts for most years do exist, just not on line.

Thanks for taking the time to read this

SHIRLEY

Thanks t mko - could you please tell me the source of your info. I am trying to understand if I should or should not ask Littleport Society for assistance, as I don't want to ask them to look at records you have already covered. I am sure they have more than enough to do..without me asking for a wild goose chase.
