Charles Lawrence Rowlands living in mold 1929
« on: Saturday 17 May 14 18:02 BST (UK) »
I'm trying to trace a Charles Lawrence Rowlands born approx 1908. I have his marriage December 1929 in Ruthin to Elizabeth Mair jones, living in 3 Brannans Court, Milford Street, Mold at time of marriage. Father listed as John Rowlands -General Hawker. Can anyone help please?

Have you looked for him on the 1911 census as there is no birth on freebmd for a Charles Lawrence Rowlands between 1905-1910

Hi
Yes I've tried searching for him on ancestry but can't find him anywhere, only his marriage! I've got his marriage certificate, that's the only info. I have of him.

I don't know.  The marriage certificate is the only thing I have about him.  His witness was an Edwards Humphrey Rowlands maybe some relative but doesn't seem to be a brother.

Did you check freebmd for a birth for Edward Humphrey Rowlands as it's showing one in Ruthin in 1902.  May be an idea to check him out on the 1911

Yes got him in 1911 census with mother, father and half brother.  No mention of Charles.  I just wonder if he is a cousin , they are close age and from Edwards daughter no other brothers and she doesn't know anything about Charles!

My grandmothers first husband.  Don't think the marriage lasted long.  Nobody in the family knows anything about it!
