May be of interest - name FOAR - possible variation in link for "Tithe Applotments"

http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/index.xml      ...FEWER on Griffiths Valuation.  There is an Edmund senior and an Edmund junior and a Walter in Aglish parish 1850.    Many other Fewers in south County Kilkenny at that time.     :)

Thanks so much for the links.I did find Edmond and Walter, plus many more Fewer's listed in 1850.
Problem is they were in NFLD before that date, so I'm not sure how to connect them to mine.
Thanks again.

Reading a book titled "Templeorum Church 1814 - 2014" by Mary oShea saw a reference to Kitty Fewer pages 229/230
Information from Templeorum National School Female Register states that Kitty Fewer aged 18 from Garrygaug left school October 1850 and emigrated.  Occupation of parents - farmer.
No names are given for parents or which country they emigrated to.
The author states that leaving in Oct is significant as it was the time of year when the second moiety of rent was coming due and those emigrating sold their tenancy to have their fare.

The R.C. Parish records for Aglish civil parish should be included in Slieverue R.C. parish that are online for free at the National Library site. The records start in the 1760's so you may find something there. Link
