Thank you so much for your information!  I have filled a few gaps in my tree!.  Is Michael Milmoe (your Great Grandfather) Johnny Milmoe's brother then? (if so we are 3rd cousins!).

The information you posted for Mary Dunne matches what I have - we believe she died in childbirth (my grandmother born in 1904)  Johnny Milmoe later married (I think Bridget Noone?) sometime after that.  They had a son John Jack (1907).

Hi Rushnesh,

Johnny Milmoe's father was BRYAN OR BERNARD MILMOE  he was born in 1837, in Ballymote, Sligo, Ireland, to Michael
Milmoe and Catherine McHugh who married in 1817 in Sligo, Bryan died in 1897, aged about 60, in Ballymote, Sligo,
Ireland. CATHERINE (CAIRNS) KERINS was born in 1842, in Sligo, Ireland, She was christened in Jul - Sep. Catherine died in 1909.
'Sligo, Ireland'.
Bryan Or Bernard Milmoe  married Catherine (Cairns) Kerins 'November 28th 1861' in Catholic parish of
Kilmorgan and Emlaghfad. They had seven children:
Bridget Milmoe in 1862
Mary Milmoe  in 1864
Johnny Milmoe  in 1867 ##-------------------------------
Bernard Milmoe Unknown? in 1871
Michael Milmoe  in 1875
Hugh Milmoe about 1878
Catherine Milmoe in 1880.

Bryan or Bernard was a brother of Michael Milmoe my great grandfather so that means he was your Johnny Milmoe's  uncle,

I hope this makes sense,

Best Wishes.

Hi Michelle, my name is Barbara and I am researching my birthroots as I was adopted as a week old baby.  Through DNA on 23&me I have found that Michael you have been chatting with is also my predicted 3rd cousin.  I was just wondering if you have any more information that may help me in my quest?  Perhaps I may also be able to help you with any more details as I am in Glasgow.

Kind regards

Barbara x

Barbara,
Can you give me some information regarding DNA can you tell me how it identified Michael as related to you, I have been toying with getting a DNA test for a while but not sure if it will provide good information.

Barbara was last active on this site in 2016 and only posted once, so she may not be back to answer your question.

We have a section on DNA testing here - https://www.rootschat.com/forum/ancestral-family-tree-dna-testing/  There are many threads there on the topic, so there should be some helpful information.
