William Tuckwood Senior 1755? or Junior 1779 Welby Lincolnshire
« on: Thursday 22 May 14 11:49 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to find out if the marriage between William Tuckwood of Welby to Elizabeth Bee in Rauceby 1803? was the Senior 1755? (re-marriage) or the Junior 1779. Lincs archives have not got that info.
If anyone can help it would eliminate a possible relative.
Thanks
Maggie

Hi everyone,I've realised I've put this on the Notts board by mistake.
Can anyone find out if the marriage of Wiliam Tuckwood  Welby Lincs to Elizabeth Bee in Rauceby 1803? is Senior 1755? (re-married) or Junior 1779. The Lincs archives don't have the info. I'm trying to eliminate a possible relative.
Thanks
Maggie

Can anyone find out if the marriage of Wiliam Tuckwood  Welby Lincs to Elizabeth Bee in Rauceby 1803?

The date was apparently 1801 (FreeReg has that too).  Here is the register (bottom left) http://www.lincstothepast.com/Records/RecordDisplayTranscript.aspx?oid=631034&iid=378139

First wife died in 1799 (left page) http://www.lincstothepast.com/Records/RecordDisplayTranscript.aspx?oid=827559&iid=182452
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.

My Lincs index has only the 1779 and 1801 marriages.  :-\

Thank you EVER so much,Geoff. William Tuckwood 1779 was a bit of a mystery.Did he marry in Lincs or did he go to Notts and marry Elizabeth Granger. They are my grt grt grt g'parents and I have been trying to unravel the threads. At least one is undone, maybe thats why there was no family at his wedding to Elizabeth.Amy died,Thomas his brother died,Mary married and lived in Granby, his father re-married and lived in Rauceby.
Well, they say the truth is out there somewhere if it is to be found. Bit by bit,I will get there.
Many thanks.

Thank you,Trish. I have all that info.I'm just trying to work out whether William 1779 married in Lincs or went to Notts, as Elizabeth Granger is my grt grt grt g'mother. Now if I could find William 1755 death in Rauceby and his age that would put the icing on the cake. Then I would know I had the right one.
Still,in this game you can't have everything.
Many thanks
Maggie
