james was married to lydia grimwood 16 nov 1762 suffolk  is there any info you can give on james as when and where born or parents   many thanks  sooper nan

Suffolk burial index only has one Lydia Pottle:

bur 6/8/1797  wife of James   Framlingham

so 2 james bur Framlingham:

16/11/1824 aged 83  (b.1731)
18/6/1839 aged 25    (b.1814)

suspect therefore that the first one is your James

there are 15 other Pottles buried Framlingham.

Lydia Grimwood/Pottle was the sister of my ancestor Thomas Grimwood [or Grimeard] who was born in 1736 and died in 1825.

Maggie Driver has done a great amount of work on the Grimwoods if you are interested in that line and her webpage with Lydia on can be found here:

I have seen from a photo on ancestry that her gravestone survives.
