1) The Qld death of Harriet Cole's 6th son William is a little misleading as it has his mothers name (Harriet) as Wingrave instead of Budden. It was Harriet's mother (convict Phoebe Stirrup) married convict Frederick Wingrave in Mudgee 31 Mar 1852. NSW BDM V1852590 38C/1852

My records reveal he died 5 Jan 1955 Chinchilla, Qld ... Children are Norman W b.1854, Roy D b.1895 & Verlie A b.1897 in Singleton.

2)The Muswellbrook Chronicle is referring to the death of Harriet Cole's 3rd daughter Harriet Budden that married James Simpson NSW BDM 5654/1900

2nd Daughter Ada Grace Budden married Adam Mather NSW BDM 11547/1864. d.13 Apr 1993 Concord, Sydney NSW BDM 6925/1933

5th son Frank, b.1861 Windeyer d.1993 Muswellbrook

6th son William (read above) b. 22 Jun 1869 Muswellbrook

Elijah Budden (husband of Harriet Cole) that died in Meroo (Wyndeyer) near Mudgee 1873 would have been buried in the garden at the back of the Diggers Arms Hotel in Windeyer. He is not in the local cemetery.

From an 1860's map I now have the location of the hotel. The graves of Elijah Budden, Mary Cowle, Frederick Wingrave & Phoebe Stirrup are not marked and will be presumably in the corner of what is now a ploughed paddock
