I've spent some time browsing through the site earlier; which is a great source for anyone with a Bassett connection.  As you say there could be a connection to the family I am researching but as yet I haven't made the link.  Again many thanks for your help, time and efforts which are very much appreciated.

I will soon be adding your line to my Bassett website (www.bassettbranches.org) as new family #258B. What I have so far begins with the 1841 census where Charles Bassett, 55, is listed with son David, 20, and what appears to be his mother Ann, 90.

1851 census shows David with wife Ann, son William and father Charles.  They are living at Ruscombe, Stroud 1841 through 1871.

1881 census show Elizabeth with children Edward and Florence and sister Emily P. Summers in Whiteshill.
