Sorry to butt in on this thread but I have a similar problem.

My Step-dad has a file saved in .gft format, he changed to a new PC and now cannot run the Times software!
He now knows (hindsight is wonderful) that he hould have saved in a different format...
Any help we can get would be very much appreciated.

Sorry to jump on this thread, I'm a newbie and have a couple of files as GFT that I'm hoping for assistance to convert to GEDCOM so that I can buy the new Family Tree Maker and continue updating.  1 tree is largish, and as a result of a trip to Hawaii in April with my dad needs a dramatic upgrade due to all the new family members that I've met!!   Mahalo - thanks :)
