john hay / jessie beaton (beatton)

Hi,
could anyone help me please looking for information on john hay born 1785 orphir and Jessie beaton born 1797, cannot find a marriage for them, I believe they had 4 children.
ann  born 1822 duffus.
jannett ( Jessie )  born 1823
jean    born  1826  burghead
john    born 1830  burghead.
any information would be helpful.

It looks like the OPR marriage register for Duffus parish, which includes Burghead, has only three entries for the period 1800 to Nov 1821.  If John and Jessie married at that period, this is probably the reason why you are finding no marriage record. Did you get the information on their family from a census?

some information was by the census and other information was from the daughter ann who married George riach in 1845.
