John emigrated to Canada likely 1838 or 1839 and married Mary Norborough, daughter of William Norborough born March 6, 1827, and baptized March 11, 1827 Dublin - St James. John and Mary were married July 21, 1845 in Canada and had 9 children in Canada. I am a descendant and have traced everything in Canada through to myself but am not having much luck tying back to Ireland.
John's father is believed to have been a teacher in Aghabog Parish, Monaghan. If anyone can provide insight as to what ship John took to Canada, his parents names, any siblings, or more information about the Norboroughs, it would make my day, which coincidentally happens to be fathers day 2014.
